Since 2002, Taking it to the Streets has been providing food, water, restroom and community building services to those in need in the Kansas City area, and was formally established as a 501(c)3 in 2012.

Our mission is to bring hope, help, and healing to those in need with the goal to equip people to serve in their communities in order to make positive impact for generations to come. This work is conducted by the generous support of local foundations, businesses, and individuals and is powered by the hands-on work of over 150 volunteers. Collectively we serve over 100,000 meals a year to those in need. The organization has four major divisions and two supporting divisions including: Emergency Response, Homeless and Family, Disaster Relief, and Community Outreach, Counseling and Chaplain and International.
